Development of the city at the beginning of 20th century led to expansion of streets in the vicinity of today's Náměstí Svobody (Freedom Square). Unfortunately, in light of this requirement, it was necessary to rehabilite some historically valuable buildings. So the Dubských Palace (well-known for its porcelain kabinet, fittend with chandeliers and lining parts made from porcelain) had to submit to the „new era“.
